IMHO, Chapter 637 is the best chapter in the War Arc

Without a doubt, I truly feel that Chapter 637 is the best chapter in the entire War Arc. This chapter was something special. It was something different.


It had everything u would want in a chapter


- Bit of action

- Story Progression

- No Sakura

- Few Naruto lines

- A Big Surprise

- Character Development

- Great Dialogue

- Good Use of Flashbacks



But personally, it was special because the chapter truly confirmed for me, the first time I felt that Obito was different from the rest.

The chapter opened my eyes to the realization that Obito was the best written character in the series.

It was one of the first few times in where u have a villain being confronted by the heroes but the author flipped the switch. He made Obito look like the hero and Naruto and Co look like the villains.

- It was the first time I wanted Obito to accomplish his dreams

- It was the first time I wanted Obito to kick Naruto's a**

Obito went thur so much pain in this chapter - hole in the chest, black rods coming out, Madara's seal, rinne tensei, ftg slash, etc

And the flashbacks played it perfectly, - Obito's goal is simply, wants to create a world where his old team is back together but this time, a world thats safe, a world full of winners, a world where he is able protect everyone

I truly believe that Chapter 637 is one of Kishi's masterpieces. IMO, its in the top 10 best chapters in the Naruto series for sure.

Nope. As much as I like Obito, it had to me Madara taking out Naruto and Sasuke. I was actually waiting for that.

Chapter 674 was the best. That had everyone hype until Sasuke got nerfed and Kaguya ruined the arc. Chspter 688 was Grade A bullsh*t with no logic. Plot hole anyone?

Well, that chapter will be animated by Hiroyuki Yamashita in the Anime, which means the studio also considers the chapter to be special.

that stretch of the War Arc was the most boring one imo. It was basically just a continuous back and forth between him and Naruto about the same thing all the way through, which is why i have problems remembering some of the stuff that even happened. I made a conscious effort to shut all of that out, it was so boring.
