Imagine how much bullshit would have been avoided if minato didn't go killing himself. At an obscure time in the morning(like 3am) he could literally;
1) Make a shadow clone
2) Make a rasengan with his original self and have the shadow clone hold a kunai
3) Both teleport to tobi(who was marked forever and always) and lunge two simultaneous attacks into his body.

The series wouldn't even begin. It's not like naruto was any much better than minato. Not until the guy got BM did he even surpass base/sm minato.

.. You fail, there was like a few seconds after Obito said that, that Madara appeared. You'd also be shocked, startled if someone, a former enemy asked you to gouge out their eye.
