You don't need religion to see what kind of path in life you should take or what kind of person you should be.
Everyone is different. No one alive today is mentioned in any religious text. Those religious stories are all about dead people and or people who never lived. It is educational to read different religions though.
Religion should never be compared to real life. Humans existed before religion. In this life anyway. <.<
If there were no humans, then religion wouldn't exist, but some kind of creator would always exist as long as there is creation. You don't have to have religion or religion doesn't ever have to exist in order for you to believe in a creator. Because people come from the people before them, its normal to wonder who came before them. If people keep coming from people then its only a matter of time to wonder who was the beginning of it all.

Imo this is spot on...
Nailed it >_>

People say it's illogical to believe in god. But I say it's even more illogical to say all of this is a coincidence. Just look at how perfectly the planets are aligned. If we were too far from the Sun we'd all freeze to death if we were too close, we'd all get skin cancer. Or just be set ablaze. Even if his powers are exaggerated by religion. And some of the story's about him is made up. There has to be a god. Of course I don't believe in things like Adam and Eve cause that's impossible I can state why it is but I think it's common sense and unnecessary to do so. and also events like Noah's ark, etc. But w/e you get my point :)

There are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on Earth. That makes for plenty of opportunity for coincidence.

As far as I'm concerned, religion breeds fake morality. Just because your taught do good or you go to hell doesn't mean that is a genuine sense of morals. Now I'm not against that, it definitely works, it's just not genuine.

I've had friends who literally told me that they would be total dicks if they were athiest.
How can you say that when you don't even know
You completely assume without first hand experience

I develop my morals based on the bibles teachings
I don't commit adultery just because I could go to hell
That's not the first thing on my mind
I don't do it because its wrong and something God wouldn't approve and my morality and developed conscious tells me that it is wrong

No one can properly determine what the world would be like without Religion.

Religion has been an integral part of shaping human history, and is a part of our culture as a species. The same goes for Science, War, and everything else. Not saying that every influence is good, because it's not. But all these aspects have created the world we live in today; removing one or the other would cause a cascade of changes that would exponentially differentiate modern society from what it is today.

This is the truth.

Spiritual. Most people are this days. It rejects traditional organize religion. Most people should change to this and maybe we want have any problems. The bible this and that. Forget the bible for once. It is not an excuse for you to dehumanize individuals because of Religious belief. They reflect your morals and ethics you know. Example, place your self in Hitler shoes for hating a Homosexual. You do not want to right? Shut the fuck up and leave it alone. Equality or equal above the law.
