[Discussion] Imagine if Oda killed off Luffy

Now it is probable that Luffy will die at the end of the series but imagine this.
Law and Luffy are fighting Doflamingo and beat him,Luffy is exhausted and Law takes advantage and betrays him.
He takes his heart and crushes it

No more Luffy,no revive bs,he is completley gone

How would you react? How would the series survive(It most likely wouldnt)? And do you want Luffy to die at the end of the manga?

No he won't die at Law's hands, probably the navy will capture him or he'll turn himself in after his final battle against the BB pirates.

I don't think Luffy is that interesting of a character to begin with, Ace was a better developed character and he got killed and we got over it. So if Luffy is killed we the people will get over it and I do think oda should show us onepiece from other super novas perspectives

Some days I actually think Oda should kill-off Luffy just so he can reiterate the sense of danger and prove that the impossible can indeed happen. Moreover, he's an author of such caliber that he could even do so. Hence if he does so, I'd actually beside myself with jizz due to the sheer phenomenal act he just did (killing off Luffy).

Lastly, I do hope Luffy dies eventually.

Imagine Luffy dies by the hands of Law, and then from the middle of nowhere, Naruto pops out.

..*Naruto holds Luffy between his arms*...

Luffy: Sorry, pal. I couldn't keep our promise. The final battle of a pirate and a ninja.
Naruto: Don't say that. You can't die here. You are the man who will become hokag. I mean you are the man who will become the Pirate King. You have to BELIEVE IT!
Luffy: That's right. I did. Either I become one or die for it. That's the promise between me and Shanks. Well, looks like I tried my best. Naruto, I have a last request.
Naruto: What is it, Luffy?
Luffy: Please, give this hat to Shanks, and tell him that I did my best.

Naruto wears the straw hat, and activate his upper hax kyuubi and sage modes and unleash powerful attack on Doflamingo and Law. Secret Ninjutsu: Summoning TOPPA TENGEN GURREN LAGANN. and then Naruto flips the whole galaxy upside down to kill everyone in the universe. Then, Goku collects the Dragon Balls and make a wish to bring everything back and tell Luffy that Law will betray him, so Luffy will be aware of Law's plans.

It would kill One Piece.

Even though I can imagine several ways out (going after Doflamingo, crew without Luffy), they are not satisfactory. Therefore, I would consider it as bad writing and unusable, given the nature of the story. I want some deaths, but Luffy cannot die.. yet. And honestly, given the pace of this manga, I cannot expect any more deaths until the very end.

I don´t care whether Luffy dies at the end, I trust Oda that it will be done with grace and make the story better or complete.
