Hashirama's Mokuton is something unique to him. Naruto wasn't born with a Bijuu.

Maybe they did get their power ups from the sage without the near death experience. They really were leagues above the whole shinobi world. If those two teamed up they could destroy every village by themselves at once.

Been preaching about this for a while,Hashi is the number 1 beast,he managed to achieve his ancestor's full potential without external factors(sibling eyes,bijuu etc),imagine what he can do with Hagoromo handouts.
