I'm tired of people bashing ep167 (Naruto vs Pain)

This episode is one of the best in the series.

I've seen an infinite amount of posts on how bad this episode's animation is. If you add up all of the stretchy faces it is maybe 30 secs out of the 20min episode. If I wanted to I could find an equal amount of weird faces/animation in the latest episode with Madara. How can 30 secs of an episode ruin the entire thing for some people?

Whether you like the animation or not you have to admit that it has some of the best action sequences in the anime. Have you read this fight in the manga recently? It's really boring. The episode added so much more fighting and made all of the moments more epic. Here are some of them:
-Instead of going 6 tails right off the bat, he fights as 4 tails for a while
-made the 6 tails transformation more epic
-added some fighting between that part and the part where he breaks the seal
-made the seal breaking scene more epic
-Pain summons a whole ****ing ocean

I mean come on, what is not to like about this? and that is just the first half of the episode.

If you haven't seen the episode in a while, or have only seen it once, I suggest you watch it again. Every time I watch it I notice something new and appreciate it more.

What annoys me the most is that everyone only mentions the bad 30 seconds and not the extremely well done parts like these:

I agree that Pain was drawn badly but the filler parts are what made it so awesome. Even though it was all beyond belief (fully automatic laser beams) the action was done very well.

It's not something you should nitpick at, if it makes you laugh like it did with me then take it as a positive. It is supposed to be a ridiculous fight between to ridiculously powerful people, who can punch each other across the entire battlefield and shoot laser beams and shit. The canon fight is pretty boring IMO but it will always be in the manga.

Like I said, if you haven't seen it in a while you should watch it again and try likeing it for what it is.

first of all in an important fight like that all of it should be animated beuatfully not like complete horse s*** watched it again and throughout the entire fight almost all of it looked cheap and poorly drawn

The fight isn't supposed to be ridiculous. Naruto just lost his whole village and couldn't save Hinata from Pain's destruction, thus going into the 6 tails state out of anger. It's not about Pain water skating, earth bending, being hit like a game of "Whack a Mole" it's just stupid...

It is still a serious episode overall, the ending with Naruto about to pull the seal of and the 8 tails coming out was really emotional. It's just the few parts that are ridiculous to make them seem more powerful.

And the water skiing is just how he controls himself when he is going so fast on the water, i think it is pretty cool.

Earthbending? he has mastery over all elements so what is weird about that?
