Sure there are some mods who are acting really childish but we can't do jackshit about it. At times, the thread itself isn't the problem, but the content within is. There can be a mature thread, but in that thread, other members spam and flame. Sometimes it will just be too much effort to deal with everything individually, so at times the entire thread is closed or trashed.


I don't just delete threads I dislike, there are quite a few threads I dislike, yet at this moment they're still open and going. For example, all those threads about the staff, I deleted a majority of them because they were basically spam, opinions are welcome, but in a mature way. An example is the "numbers" guy, I deleted the same thread about five times, it was time for him to go, which is why he's now banned.


If there's a need for more mods, then the admins will add more. That's if there are enough mature members that can handle responsibility without breaking though.

I believe there are a number of mature people out there willing to be mods that you'd find are perfect. I'm not saying I am of course because I have my moments sometimes. However, there are quite a few I've seen just in this thread that care deeply with how this forum is run ^^.

Ok, I can understand this. But sometimes there may be people engaged in serious discussions and there are very little spammers, and the whole thread gets closed. I've seen this happen many times.
This is the case where you can simply get rid of their posts, since their numbers are small.

They dont run the site, they basically keep it organized and stop it from getting out of control. And we can do something about it and its called sitting the hell down and working it out. Im not really the type of person to get up and speak up but when it comes to serious issues like this, i will speak out.

no crow. people spam. if you are takling about the rp kages than yeh SOME may be good mods. hell we even have some mods in the rp who are kages. and players.But there isnt enough sensible members to make more mods. and like drizzy said if they need more than they will get more. they recently had mod selections in 2012 december.

ok I personally want to say though, that DRIZZY has always been a great mod and person to me, he's really fun even though he has a tough job to doXD I also enjoy some of the lady mods a lot but something on the base is really lacking

Yes mods like drizzy are cool and we need more drizzys. But i think what the base is kind of lacking is communication between the admins,gmods,mods and the users. Im sure if we could all have this one place where we sit down and discuss the issues we can understand each other more. Kind of like a therapy session.

I assume threads gets deleted cause they are duplicates of already existing threads. Could be breaking rules(not necessary the thread as a topic, but when they get bombarded with spam/flaming). Though i actually have to say closing the thread is better than deleting it in that case cause then you could at least follow the discussion as deleting a thread well.. Pretty much says itself. "Hey.. this is actually read-worthy". There you have it.

Not sure if this is discussed in this thread or that other one that was very similar but, there was actually one thing that was brought up that caught my attention. That is that mods/staff members doesn't participate in discussions like at all. I agree that they are kinda.. "in-active" on parts that doesn't concern their workspace. I'd really like to see their opinion about characters too. I know there are some mods that do, but my point is that more should.

Also a tip, since it's been mentioned that Vm/Pm is better than creating threads. Indeed that is true, and indeed vm:ing staffmembers might be ignored. I actually advice then to use Pm, cause that draws more attention than Vm. It's been so for me at times. Also when complaining try to structure it up well and organized so it actually get the readers attention and makes the read think for themselves "Hey.. this is actually read-worthy". There you have it.

Yes and i agree. But i feel like Threads are better, see how you were able to join in and give your opinion, Thats what we need. Not 1 user because i doubt that would change a thing but having a thread where alot of people can join in and communicate, will make it better. Ya know?

When this happens, I do the best I can to get rid of the problem and let the discussions continue. A couple days ago, I even deleted 60-70 posts of spam, just for a decent conversation to go on, and even after I did that and stated in that thread I did, a couple minutes later, the spam continued again. It's hard to maintain a forum this large, apparently, some persons just come online to spam, troll and flame. NB wasn't like this when I joined back in 2011.

Admins make the big decisions guys, they'll add more if they believe they should/when they can.

That isn't very true actually, members have a decent amount of power on NB. There's even a Q&S section where all members are welcome to make suggestions as to how the site can be better. We don't ban someone for their opinion, but a member can get banned for how his/her's opinion is structured.

oh yeah DRIZZY, you probably didn't have anything to do with this , but I made a really great and informative religion thread
and we were involved in a heavy debate , but we weren't using bad language or bashing at all, then it got taken down...
it was a really nice thread, we had tons of posts and I really enjoyed it... I was wondering if I could have it backXD
but sometimes when someone sees one post they might automatically assume that more of the bashing and name calling
might take place without actually understanding that the OP might not mind some of the talk the other users are posting.....
but it still gets deleted or closed..
