He didnt destroy it all,Hashi had Rinnegan Madara pinned down and restrained before the later's revival,it was Hashirama who was compared to a Juubi Jinchuriki,not Hiruzen ,he was the only ''host'' that reached his descendant's full potential without external factors(sibling eyes,Bijuu,Hagoromo handouts),Hashi is still a beast.

I agree but an overall picture of him was ruined I think for a lot of people. As an Edo he should've been more stronger.
