[Discussion] I'm new to One Piece, what makes it so good??

The characters are mostly great. The interactions always pleasing. The art is odd, but I love it. Every character has this weird style, and it's all just accepted to be normal. Even human's as tall as twenty feet is nothing too unusual. The world itself is pretty interesting and vague. I like it that way. We get peaks into what's going on, but Oda never full on shows it or tells us. We can imagine it a tad.
