I'am probably posting this in the wrong section but anyway I just had to ask this......
My friends and I maybe creating a Naruto MMO if we get some free time, my question is where do I get copy right permissions for the characters...................actually not the characters themselves but just the ideas in-order to make a good Naruto-BASED MMO or is it necessary to get the copyright if Im not gonna be using the characters but just the idea of the shinobi world ,the kages, Akatsuki, etc???

Last question.....
How many of you would support this Naruto-BASED(not exactly naruto, just the idea of it) MMO and would like us the make it if we were to get some spare time???

You'd have to get copyright permissions from Shueisha Inc, in which case, you'd need a Japanese speaker to contact them, as they don't respond to English correspondences.

You will have to pay, of course.

I would most def play that! I don't really know a Naruto-based MMO I'm totally satisfied with, most often due to lack of freedom in character creation [hint!]

It sounds like it'd be a fun game. Have you got any software development experience? Not to dishearten you, just that a lot of people underestimate the logistics of MMOs or other simpler games.

Ok. I'm not familiar with UDK or Unity 3D. I'm just worried about moving from a core game to an MMO. There are a lot of issues which arise when you have to deal with outside people. Security, hosting (latency I suppose comes in here) and the many versions needed to accommodate to people with different OS or hardware resources. Still I wish you luck, it's not something I would ever be able to accomplish.

I agree it is going to be very hard, but if only i could get my hands on the copy right thingy, I think I would be able to atleast make an effort.
