They would probably use him in a filler, normally i'm not quite a fan of fillers but i think i would like that one.

and to anwser on the threads questions: He probably is still alive and i do think he's immortal because he said so himself that he won't die

Of course he's still alive. He's IMMORTAL. But Shikamaru trapped him pretty good, and he has those deer watching him. Hidan ain't going anywhere any time soon.

Kakuzu, I think it was...remarked after being revived that he must still be alive.

Kakuzu recently noted that Hidan is most definitely still alive, due to him not being Edo-fied like the rest of the Akatsuki. He also noted that Hidan is probably dying slowly from malnutrition. Sucks for him.

Also, I totally wouldn't mind seeing Hidan return, even if it was (unfortantely) filler material. He was just that entertaining. The only character who even who even comes close to him in that respect would be The 2nd Mizukage, IMO.
