[Question] I'm going to start One Piece..

So I decided, I'm going to start the one piece series. I watched it pretty inconsistently when i was 12 but now I'm 21 bored as shit at work with nothing to do so I thought I'd take a crack at it starting off after Ussop joins the squad.

I figure I am just going to read the manga all the way through. Are there any epic moments I should take note of to watch in the anime once I reach that point? Spoilers wont really mind me, I already understand power ups slightly. Just name some epic shit you can think of for me plzzzzz or episodes and I'll watch them when I get to the story. I figure I can read the entire TTR + IT arc in one day so I can easily bang out the series in a week.


PS: Is there any themes or plot points i need to take note of that require a little bit of thinking? like how peace was a big thing in shippuden and carries out throughout the whole story, it made the story so much better. Do i need to like take note of all the pirate lifestyles and stuff? lol

Just watch the stuff you think is worthy after you've read the whole thing.

One thing though. Watch the entire Saboady arc in the anime (385-405). It has top notch pacing and animation, something you never see.

I'd also recommend watching the first 30 eps or so in the anime to get a feel for the voice actors or what not. Then you can apply those to when you read the manga.

Ya I just started myself finally. I'm at chapter 385...at first I didn't like it that much but I kept pushing because everybody said one piece was epic and was right. I mean when zoro first met mihark .I was sold.
