Then gtfo noob? This chapter is awesome and there will be an explanation to why Obito is Tobi including How he survived being crushed and why he turned into a psycho, and a pretty powerfull one at that.

The caption was "it's revealed, his name is obito" it wasn't a caption such as when it said tobi was madara, because that was from the manga's point of view. This was a caption from kishi. Tobi is obito and there better be an amazing ****ing explanation next week.

Hope he turns out to be someone else using Obito's body. And IMO, he probably will, since Tobi being Obito just leaves too many major plot holes (Madara knowing him, Tobi giving Nagato the Rinnegan, etc. Not to mention he's obviously old (After extracting the Kyuubi from Kushina he said "Do you have ANY idea how long I've been waiting for this?" as well as calling Konan a little girl).

nah dude cuz if thats the case then kakashi and gai also had some crazy growth spurts. I'm pretty sure they were between 16-18 during that whole incident. seems to make sense. currently looking at a 34 year old kakashi and obito? definitely possible.

ok you need to check your math again. 30 - 6 = 24. 30 - 16 =14. but no, take a look at my theory. kakashi looks to be somewhere around narutos size during the 9 tails attack. naruto is currently 16 so I'm gonna throw kakashi and obito in the 16 - 18 range during the attack which would make them currently 32 - 34

Kishi you mad man!
I've been on the base for a Looooooong time now but only after this revelation of obito/tobi have I decided to join and make a post.
We have to give kishi his props because when obito fought Konan, she cracked his mask and it showed the wrinkled zetsu half, making the world believe the tobi character was older thus bringing forth more tobi Id threads. Now that the tobi identity crisis is over I assume the new problem will be the timeline issue. Kishi might not have to explain much.
When obito was crushed his age was around 13! Kakashi age in the Shippuden series is about 29-30 and naruto is about 16-17.... Where am I going with this????
This would make Kakashi around 15-16 when the nine tails attacked the leaf and i would assume obito would be around the same age.... Is it possible that a 15-17 year obito could hang in a fight with the 4th??? Before you all say hell no remember naruto, Sasuke and other ninja from the leaf are around that age now and play major roles in this war.
Now i can deal with a young obito attacking the leaf, but I can't answer how he became so powerful, how he met nagato, or how he knows madara. We can assume he got some training from madara maybe. But nagato was a kid during the second ninja war so I would guess obito wasn't even born yet. Maybe his S/T jutsu has more abilities than we know.......
