My brother used to take meds to for his ADHD, he wasnt depressed but he was tame as a hamster.
A therapist isnt so bad, I had to go also a couple of years back when my mom died, trust me, in many situations talking too a complete stranger is actually easyer for alot of situations.
Take a hobby if u dont have one, u will meet new people, not everyone is as bad as u think
