I wouldn't blame you. There's stories where winners have had hundreds of letters sent to them each day by people asking for money, and even relatives or friends start begging for some of the prize. If I recall, a portion of the money goes to taxes anyway, so you don't actually win as much as you'd initially think.

Best thing to do would be to keep quiet and lay low, as well as avoid spending a massive amount at one time. That way, you wouldn't need to worry about being targeted.

Well you have a better chance of dying on your way to receiving the lottery ticket than actually winning. The odds of winning those $50M lottery tickets are microscopic, literally.

look i dont want people to be afraid if they ever win the lottery like a huge amount but seriously you are gunna have to do all of this.

1. dont tell anyone
2. move to a different location maybe another state or up north or down south more.
3. change phone number
4. get a lawyer

those are just for incase if people try to bug you.

now the real serious and dangerous is that people will want to kidnap you and hold you for ransom or your family.

so these last steps should help you.
