Genjutsu, you can call it Illusionary Arts too, doesn't produce a real effect, it produces an illusionary effect. Basically Genjutsu are techniques that are employed in the same fashion as Ninjutsu, requiring chakra and hand seals, however the primary difference between the two is that the effects of Genjutsu are illusory, instead of attacking the victim's body like Taijutsu or Ninjutsu. If I remember right, there are two types of Genjutsu. The first one is the so called "none chakra fueled one", because it produces illusions to our senses which have very very little use in our RP and can be easily get countered through logic. The other one is the "chakra fueled one" with which you can most likely produce a decent Genjutsu technique.

And on the point of countering Genjutsu, what are the main ways to counter the effects of a Genjutsu in our RP?

1- Altering the balance between physical and spiritual energies in your chakra by disturbing your physical energy. This is done by producing pain. Pain comes from the body and thus it makes your physical energy fluctuate. Because of this fluctuation your chakra flow experiences a spike. This spike is a disturbance that will dispel other disturbances present in your chakra.
2- Altering the balance between physical and spiritual energies in your chakra by disturbing your spiritual energy. This is done by your sheer will power. Its done by forcefully creating a surge of chakra in your body by spiking your spiritual energy. It can be done in 2 ways: through a technique named Kai and through other techniques, like Nagashi, that will produce a high enough surge of chakra through your body.
3- Altering your chakra flow through the introduction of foreign chakra. This can be done by an ally or by entering for example, sage mode or being a jinchuriki. The truth is that as foreign chakra enters your system or another energy (natural energy), your chakra flow becomes altered and thus releases from the genjutsu.
All of these produce a reset-like effect on your chakra flow, making it return to normal.
Also here is everything you covered plus a little more.

In our RP you're able to cast not only one, but two illusions onto your opponent that combine together; however you can't simply throw in any genjutsu you want, it is adhered by a set of rules. Do some research on the base here, see if you find anything out. If not I'll simply explain it to you.

Thats all i could get
.
.
There exists two types of Genjutsu: the passive, non chakra fueled ones (basically illusions to our senses like visual paradoxes and such which have little use in the RP and can be easily overcome through experience and logic) and the active, chakra fueled ones. Within the active chakra fueled ones two subtypes exist: Dojutsu induced Genjutsu and Normal Genjutsu.

I'll save you the pain and explain it myself I guess xD

Genjutsu Layering is casting a secondary illusion upon your first one, with the resultant effect being a combination of said two illusions. The rules are: 1, the secondary illusion that you cast cannot be of a higher rank than the first, if so it will simply overtake the first one; 2, you are only able to stack up to two illusions, no more; 3, if both illusions are of the same rank, they cancel each other and nothing happens; and 4, the highest ranked illusion (so your first one) will be the overall rank of the entire illusion.

Any questions?

Alright cool, so can I get your explanation of Genjutsu again please?

This time, try it in your own words, not in Dragyz's, I won't bite if you don't know but you know you can at least try.

Genjutsu also known as illusionary techniques are made by disturbing the chakra flow in the opponnents brain and causing confusion in their senser, genjutsu also involves the use of chakra and handseal... Genjutsu is used to create false images or to cause pain as the body of the target is led to believe it is real

Alright, you've been through enough. Let's get straight to it then. >_>

For now I just want you to perform the illusions as if you were to cast it on a random opponent.

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

A simple illusion, by channelling your chakra throughout your body, into the air and into your opponents mins, you're effectively casting an illusion on him where you can change the environment around him. Albeit to a limit, you can for example make it so that he thinks the ground beneath him turns into sand, but you can't add extra features in. For example, you can't simply make a fireball appear into the air that descends down towards him. Though I love the fact that this technique requires no hand signs, meaning a normal opponent won't be aware of being caught within the illusion until after the effects have hit in.

It's not moved outwards from within you, it's localized and focused on your opponent; it doesn't actually travel in the sense that you described it.

And what senses will affect the opponent here? I mean a patch of grass by itself is pretty harmless but it will do, how will the opponent be able to sense that he is inside a genjutsu then?

If the ground was plain before then the opponent might see that no handseal were performed or it can be seen through by the uchiha genjutsu

Yes good, so it affects sight. You can throw these little tricks around with that Gen to try and confuse your opponent, but since it changes the terrain one can break free easily. Anyways moving on.

( Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

For this technique, perform a string of 5 different hand signs *shows* and in doing so, you induce an illusion upon your opponent that you simply vanish; dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals then begin to encircle him, swirling around him thus effectively hindering his vision from the battlefield. A simple genjutsu, though if used accurately could be the set up for a surprise attack, or could also be used for means of escape. Though the five hand signs is a let down for the technique.
