Okay, time to do layering of the genjutsus.
Quickly thinking about the two genjutsus I am going to use in layering purpose, I start off with the first genjutsu, as I channel chakra in the brain of nearby clone and gather control over his vision and also his temperature detection senses.
I then manipulate his visual senses in such a way that he sees a giant fireball approaching towards him, which appears out of nowhere and descends on him at a rapid pace.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

Genjutsu also gains control over his heat sensing abilities and hence he can feel the change in the temperature as fireball approaches towards him, even though the temperature in reality hasn't changed.
Then, I decide to enhance the genjutsu, by casting another genjutsu in a rapid pace before he can break out of the first one.
I enhance the control over his visual senses and then change the rocks and terrain around him in the form of the volcano like structure. While the river nearby gains an appearance of an open lava tube, freighting your clone even more, as he can't even use the water against the fireball.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

Your clone faints due to the effect of the genjutsu.

My clone faints? I wouldn't bet on it.

Nice attempt.
Now I want you to use the false surrounding twice in a perfectly synced layer. Make him see something and lay another on top of it to mask the first genjutsu.

Okay, I will give it a try.
Chelsea gathers her chakra and then thinks about the very first genjutsu she learnt, which was the false surrounding technique.
Chelsea channels the chakra into the brain of your clone, takes control of his vision, to put him in next genjutsu, by turning the area around him in the form of barren desert land.
Then before your clone could figure out that he is under genjutsu, Chelsea again channels chakra into his brain and puts him again in a genjutsu, where she changes the terrain at the distance of about 7 meters in the form of 'mysterious lake', which appears out of nowhere.
Since the lake is pretty much in the middle of the barren desert, your clone might get attracted to it and will run towards it. Chelsea might trap him in the next trap to finish him off.
I hope I did good...

You did fairly well.

You should put in mind that you are layering another genjutsu on a genjutsu to decieve the opponent completely from the first genjutsu so that as he defends from the second genjutsu, he enters into the realm of the first which might be used to your advantage.

For example
-First genjutsu: I make the target see a very slight change in terrain that would send him of course. E:g, a detour on a main road.

But this genjutsu may easily be figured out if the opponent see this first and compared it with his last memory of the terrain. So bringing another genjutsu atop the first would perhaps scramble the targets memory of the initial terrain.

Lets say
-Second Gen: A large swmap covering the entire terrain.

The second is a very big change in the terrain compared to the first which is just a slight change. But since you are layering the genjutsu, the target only sees the large change thus when he breaks from it, he comes back to the first genjutsu which is just a tiny change. If he does not have any jutsu that gives the genjutsu away. He may completely be decieved as there is little difference in the terrain and the first genjutsu.

This is just an application. It has numerous ways.

Any question?

Good. You learned

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals,
putting his opponents under a double
layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create
false surroundings to fool his targets, much
like the simpler version of the technique.
However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one,
he will then feel the effects of the second
illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is
that of a desert and the second that of a
forest, upon releasing the first one, the
opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him
think he dispelled the illusion while in
essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion
is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted
at the same time. While normal releases will
release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra
can dispel both at the same time.

Next one, bring out your sword and begin to wave it to and fro while traping anyone that looks it into an illusion. Its like trying to hyptnotize someone by making them sleep due to sweet and soothing movement. Though this one is not hypnosis, its a genjutsu that makes the target see multiple waving hands and thus are distracted from your follow up motive.

Chelsea calmly listens to your instructions as she draws out the sword, she is carrying along with her.
She then channels the chakra to your clone's brain, rather than channeling it into your sword and puts him under a genjutsu, where he hallucinates multiple waving hands in front of him and losses mental balance.
As a result you clone gets distracted and is suffering mental pain. Chelsea uses this opportunity and delivers fatal strikes on the front chest part of your clone, to cut him down and hence making him disappear.
Since there are almost no handseals and moves are performed in succession, it hardly gives your clone and opportunity to dodge the strikes or rather react in time.
There we go..

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the
target locks them in a genjutsu which causes
them to hallucinate multiple waving arms.
The movement resembles that of a willow
tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off
guard, the user is free to cut them down.
So what if it was used against you as you described, how do you cope?

It is a genjutsu which first affects my vision via hallucination and then takes control of my mind. So, not allowing myself to focus on the sword for a long time is the key here. For that, I can use the already avaialbe clone to distract me and then I can release the genjutsu(I might be wrong here).
Another interesting thing about this hallucination type gen is that it has repeated movements of a sword, something which is the key while detecting the genjutsu. I can use it as a way to detect the gen and then can use the 'kai' to release the genjutsu before my opponent uses the sword to attack me. Hallucinations need a good amount of time to affect brain and take control over my senses, I can use this time in my favor to break out of the gen.

Sorry for the delay..

You are correct. Though be wary, the opponent may speed blitz you.

Make the Do, Hare, Snake and Ram handseal, then force your chakra into the opponents brain while putting him in an illusion that makes him see several vines emerge from the ground and bind him, lifting him into the sky. Then another vine would rise above him revealing a pod that opens to show you with a kunai ready to assalt him.

First of all, I would like to apologize for my inactivity, real life is getting busier day by day, making it really difficult for me to come online.

Chelsea waves the necessary handseals as instructed by her sensei(Dog->Hare->Snake->Ram) and then gathers chakra after focussing for a while, which she then channels into the brain of the nearby clone to put him in the genjutsu.
Your clone sees Chelsea disappearing suddenly into the thin air, alongside the various wines of the plant suddenly emerging from the ground, which surround him and then lift him in the air at the height of about 5 meters from the ground.
Your clone shaken due to this sudden attack, tries to react to the situation, but the wines bind him in the position. Before he could make any major movements, another vine appears suddenly in front of his eyes with a bean pod. The bean pod suddenly breaks open and reveals Chelsea, who has a kunai in her left hand. Chelsea jumps straight at him and delivers a sharp cut near the neck of your clone to injure him vitally.
Can be combined really well with my sneaky attacks...
She lands on the other side and puts back the kunai in the pocket, waiting for your further instructions.

Yes, it is possible to layer one genjutsu with another one, provided that the genjutsu which I am going to use later is the lower ranked genjutsu as compared to previous one.
The second genjutsu is used to fill the gaps in the first genjutsu and hence making it harder for my opponent to break through the genjutsu effects. Also, my opponent needs to use the genjutsu breaking technique efficient and powerful enough to break the higher ranked genjutsu, which is first one. When he uses such technique, he will break both the genjutsus, original one and layered one.
For example, above genjutsu can be followed up with D-Rank genjutsus such as 'False Surroundings Technique' to turn something around my opponent(trees, stones etc) in the form of vines, confusing him even further. False Surroundings Technique is fast enough to give him very less time to counter first jutsu and hence is very useful in scenarios like this.

Chelsea waits for you to add some points and to know if you want to know anything more than this.

You are correct. Using false surrounding is a very smark move.

You can change the surrounding of the target coupled with this jutsu into a forest, no just a forest, a living forest so as to mask the genjutsu and maybe decieve the target to thinking you are using a large scale wood jutsu..

You can layer this with Flower Petal Escape to make it so that the you that appear in a pod above the target is just a bunch of kinetic leaves.

You can also layer this with Mist Servant Technique so that instead of the only you apearing from the pod above, several you's would appear all around the vines. So instead of a single pod, you can make it a hundred pod.

You learned

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

Similar to

( Magen: Jubaku Satsu ) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.

Now apart from layering, there are favorable conditions you can use this. Combine this perfectly with other jutsu or moves apart from genjutsu.

Hint: Draw a scenario.

Again, my apologies for the late reply.

Ah, so seems like I am indeed growing and improving. Nice tricks btw, might as well use them at some point of time in the future.
Chelsea felt complacent. Finally, her training has started showing results.
Next, she heeded her sensei carefully and then switched for her next genjutsu move. She gathered her chakra but rather than thinking about the genjutsu or performing the handseals, she switched to a Suiton move, as she gathered her suiton chakra in her mouth and then spew it out in the form of thick mist that covered her surrounding till the distance of 15 meters around her, effectively blocking her opponent's vision.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

She then disappeared into the thick mist and then decided to hide herself. She then waved five handseals in quick succession and then channeled the chakra into the opponent's brain to put him in a genjutsu. The opponent sees a giant tree appearing behind him which then burgeons and binds him completely, making him immobilized. Chelsea then stealthily approaches her opponent removes the kunai and swiftly takes out his neck, before his paralyzed opponent can make a move. Her opponent feels as if she has appeared from a giant tree and is too surprised to make a move.
I guess that's it...

Good though you have to take somethings into consideration when making your moves. You first of all cover the terrain with me. Both of you can not see each other. What if he changes position while in the mist then your genjutsu would fail as you won't have a clear perception of his location.

For the next one. You will trap my clone in a genjutsu where he is traped in a large flower bud that soon explodes, damaging him mentally.

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death

Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

That was clever observation, Priest. Yeah, you are right there, I should have taken that into consideration and should have started with binding him first, so that my genjutsu won't fail.

Chelsea figured out that next move is basically creating an illusion of explosion whose effects will be imaginary.
She then maintains the mid range from your clone, focuses for a bit and gets a clear idea of what scenario she has to build and then channels the chakra into your clone's brain, to put him under genjutsu.
When your clone is in genjutsu, he sees himself being trapped in the colossal flower bud, which is about 10 meters in height. He is completely entrapped in the bud and hence there is absolutely no way of getting out of the bud. It can also create an impression of usage of wood jutsu, though it isn't.
She then makes the bud explode. This produces an impression that the actual explosion has occurred, even when it was imaginary.
Resulting massive mental strain results into a huge damage, making your clone go unconscious.
Interesting point to note here is the mastery of genjutsu user lies in confusing his/her opponent between what is real and what is imaginary. If I am wood user this move will be even more advantageous one to me.

Another illusion that involves summoning a flower. This time though it does not immediately trap the victim in its buds. The flower attacks the victim in the genjutsu with paralysing affects when it hits.

( Genjutsu: Hanaoka ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Hill

Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.
