A few stuff to to cut me into tiny Kate pieces i thought to myself.........no Kate he's just a nice man here to train you ...Dean however just smiled and continued to tell my more about Genjutsu, it was very interesting actually... I was definitely going to enjoy this training. He then went on to ask me what I know about breaking out of Genjutsu to which i very quickly replied...Dean listened to Kate's explanation of the Illusionary Arts. It was alright, not very detailed but at least she knew what it was about. Dean smiled as he heard her ask about the bag he had on him.
"This bag has a few stuff of mine in it, nothing to worry about. Okay, as for your answer, not too bad but let me add some important parts. You covered that Genjutsu affects the chakra flow of the opponent, allowing the user of the Genjutsu to instill a myriad of effects on the opponent. These effects can make the opponent perceive anything through the five senses like seeing things that aren't real, hearing sounds, feeling your body get cold or hot, tasting an odd taste in your mouth or even smelling dead bodies. The five senses are the ones that let you perceive the Genjutsu, and what makes it more realistic.
You see, each normal ninja has a balanced chakra flow when they are not affected by a Genjutsu. The spiritual and physical energies flow in sync, but when a Genjutsu is induced, that balance is disrupted. This is what causes the Genjutsu to take place. A bit complex, but not at all difficult to understand."
Dean then cleared his throat as he continued to talk.
"You also mentioned a trigger, which is another interesting point. Genjutsu is induced through a "trigger" like eye contact, the point of a hand, a word, a sound, or just hand seals. This trigger also allows you to sometimes notice that it is indeed a Genjutsu you are in, and not reality. So that's our next part, what do you know of breaking out of a Genjutsu?"
Dean then waited for Kate to answer him.
-"Okay, as it states, if you are in a Genjutsu of D rank and you have realized that it is indeed a Genjutsu, then you just have to chip your finger. Not a lot of pain but it will suffice for the rank. Always remember, you can't move if the Genjutsu is one that paralyzes, then you have to improvise (we'll cover that a bit later.)"D ranks Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
-"A low level physical attack is like free form Taijutsu or Kenjutsu, like cutting yourself and/or biting a piece of your cheek on the inside. This will cause enough pain to break a Genjutsu of C rank. "C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Biting a chunk of your Cheek
-"I usually see some confusion involved here, I'd say some basic free form like breaking a finger or so."B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
-"See as it goes higher, it becomes more dangerous. So, with a A rank, you have to either stab yourself in a minor muscle, cut yourself or break small bones like fingers or so. Also, burning or shocking yourself (not advisable :|)."A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
-"So yeah, Eight Inner Gates or Sage Level Taijutsu would break you out, or a very deep cut or stab (I'm talking deep here o-o), medium shock or burn and of course, biting off your own tongue (Kisame say what?)S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off
After having answered dean, he continued on to tell me more about breaking out of Genjutsu with pain.Sorry for the late reply, was a bit busy.
Dean listened to Kate who knew what she was talking about. She had basic understanding of Genjutsu, but it was enough to allow them to continue. Dean, being the guy he is, always liked adding more information so the student could fully understand the subject at hand. Genjutsu could indeed be confusing in battle, so Dean made sure he taught his students well.
"Not bad Kate, well done. Now, since you covered pain and Kai as ways to break the Genjutsu, I'll go over just how much pain is needed for each rank of Genjutsu. We'll handle Kai when we get to the technique itself."
Dean then pulled out a large scroll from his bag. This scroll contained some information, written by Dean himself, that he had gained from his sensei throughout his life as he had learned and mastered Genjutsu.
"Okay, so we have ranks from D ranks, which is the weakest, up to S rank, which is the strongest. So, I will list them:
-"Okay, as it states, if you are in a Genjutsu of D rank and you have realized that it is indeed a Genjutsu, then you just have to chip your finger. Not a lot of pain but it will suffice for the rank. Always remember, you can't move if the Genjutsu is one that paralyzes, then you have to improvise (we'll cover that a bit later.)"

"These are the levels of breaking out of a Genjutsu. Some Ninja have access to Forbidden ranked Genjutsu, so yeah, if you are caught in that... good luck. If you understand, we will move on. Also, ask questions if you have."
Dean waits for Kate to absorb all this information he has just given her.
