It is what it but what one classifies as art is subjective. If you like One Piece’s art style, you have a basic view of art.

Just look at the Hokage Rock and how detailed it is.

The "shading" is no more than crevices. The only things that stand out in the panel is there being a shit load of basic-geometrically shaped buildings and the perspective, which is just two point perspective anyhow.

Ikemoto's environments are unquestionably more defined and varied in leveling with strong shapes.

Not saying Ike's better or worse than Kishi but you're not comparing apples to apples, you're using much closer shots where detail to the scenery can be seen much easier to a wide out shot from high above.

I know. I'd just grabbed the panel that caught my eye the most and ran with it. You could pit them against the ones I snagged earlier though. The terrains are different, but that's a-ok for me.

No, it is basic and very unappealing. You, yourself even attested to the fact that many people believe his art style is shit also. You can force yourself to tolerate it; You know, conform and become complacent with whatever is put in front of you, which is up to you. Maybe you really do like it but truthfully, I don’t care. Like I’d said, I hate his art style but I know he can draw better than the shit he decided to run with for the One Piece series.
