Iishin doesn't seem to be having a hard time against a hollow Ichigo. i mean when you compare how shinji ( who is bad ass) and co. handled the kensei situation, Iishin is definately holding his own.
Considering hollow ichigo is a new phenomenon to the bleach worls at the time....this guy is good!

That wasn't a hollow Ichigo he was fighting agaisnt, it was an ealier experiment of Aziens and yes while he seemed confindent enough that his shikai would deal with it he still got forced way back without it.

Hirako was resisting his own hollowification and was fighting other vaizards as well unlike isshin who was healthy and was fighting only one opponent.

you mistake what am saying : hirako's team had a hard time dealing with kensei (even if they were not trying to kill him)
as 4 aizen attacking from behind, he has an illusion zan, he can make iishin see whatever he wants, so for him to attack from behind is quite cowardly!

That's why shinji group was having a hard time cuz they wer not trying to kill him of couse the fight gone drag out of ur not even trying to cut ur opponet..where as isshin was not holding back...an aizen cut him from behind so he could get isshin out the way he was interfering with plans he's most likely going to see that it was aizen anyway.

What Isshin is fighting is a Vasto Lorde
What Shinji and Co. fought was a Captain becoming a Hollow.

I don't know about you, but I'd reckon the latter as more dangerous. Add to that the fact that Isshin isn't holding back.
