Staggering through the void, bewildering who to be.
Answer is so simple, yet you can barely see.
Society is your last restraint, ignore the picture they paint.
Cuz they are not even using a freaking colored palette,

They also got no artistic talent, their eyes sewn shut,
And their eyesight limit could never grasp your boundless spirit.
And they will steal your dreams and rip your seams, if you don't break free;
This prison you're placed in can be erased,
Just don't let yourself be defaced.

Comprehend that your eyes can open wider,
They can see right through the lies, get much higher.
That mountain peak is where you deserve to be,
In control of your own destiny.

The mess they made is their own reflection,
Which they see trough broken mirrors of imperfections.
It was never you, you are worth so much more.
While they shut their windows, you open doors.

It is time to ignore their views,
And dig deep inside, reveal hidden truths.

I know we talked about Opeth once but this poem reminds me of this song...

*Lyrics*
In the corner beside my window
There hangs a lonely photograph
There is no reason I'd never notice
A memory that could hold me back
There is a wound that's always bleeding
There is a road I'm always walking
And I know you'll never return to this place
Gone through days without talking
There is a comfort in silence
So used to losing all ambition
Struggling to maintain what's left
There is a wound that's always bleeding
There is a road I'm always walking
And I know you'll never return to this place
Once undone, there's only smoke
Burning in my eyes to blind
To cover up what really happened
Force the darkness unto me

There is a wound that's always bleeding
There is a road I'm always walking
And I know you'll never return to this place
