Well it's definitely as they say - ignorance is bliss. There is no easy answer to something like this. Even if one were to acknowledge the fact that the world is filled with illusion, there is not much they can do except continue to exist in the illusion. Even if they were to be "in" or "out" of the matrix, the world in which they exist would still be controlled by someone/something else with more power and influence in said world.

At the end of the day we're all insignificant and we have to pretty much go with the flow in a world where the rules and expectations have already been laid out for us by the elite.
