If your favorite character was to replace Naruto, how would your story go?

Mine is Rock Lee.

Series would be about a kid who aspires to be a ninja who can not use nin-genjutsu obviously. Another underdog story but storyline would shift from Uchiha-SenjuSage focus. It would be another shounen, power levels would be lower and have more physical fights. Neji would be the rival character and there could be more Hyuuga exposure due to that. Since Lee has no relations to all Sage jazz the series could be on a minor scale, showcasing other villlages and ninja and tackling issues like discrimination, familial love, disabilities, friendship.

It would be an underdog shounen like we know, with the exception of actually having an underdog main character.

I also wouldn't mind a series on the war era that would center on Madara/Hashirama/Tobirama/Izuna/Mito and co. Or a series about the 7 swordsmen of the Mist.
