Yes bro obito basically leaves and dosen't return to see baby naruto with kyuubi sealed inside him with dead parents.

Definitely substition jutsu.. it's not used as much in the manga but I hate the idea of it. It's just a lazy way to show a character "outsmarting" his/her opponent... the anime in particular spams the crap out of it. I'd also get rid of illogical clone feints for the same reason.
