I think itachi supported konoha because his clan was selfish.

and for my training i'll just use my super duba eye powers to copy all the techniques in the world to make one mega insane mouth watering ramen and bring peace to the whole world... and still not serve Itachi ramen and tobi and madara for what they did... that would be my revenge... making them begging to try the worlds best ramen but never shall muahahahaa
