They are very prestigious awards. Let me brief you on a few details.

- These gold medals were invented by the Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel. In his will upon his demise, he wanted his vast sum of money to have the Nobel Prizes created, and various Nobel Organization Institutions.

- If you do happen to win it, you're awarded $500,000 dollars. Recently in 2005, winning a Nobel Prize has been increased to $1,300,000.

- The awards are given to people who stand out in their field of expertise, and specifically those who make great strides in the advancement of these fields.

- It's a difficult award to win, but it's not impossible. Keep in mine that more than one person can qualify to win a single category.

- Find a world problem and try to solve it. Curing diseases, discovering new things or even just attempting to fix a problem may attract the attention of a Nobel nominator. Find one issue you think you can solve and work on that. It may take years before your work gets anywhere, but stay focused and work toward a solution.

- You must also have great credentials as far as diplomas in college are concerned.

As for myself, I am going to work diligently in my career field, however, it won't because I'm aiming to win a Nobel Prize. Now, if I just so happen to win by some divine fluke, it would be in the field of peace. I do want to become the ultimate humanitarian after all. ^^

Lawls!!! I don't think that would be necessary. Just be aloof, and in all of your interviews just get the point across that "You're not doing your career field to get some shiny trophy or attention. You just want to make a difference in the world."

^ Not in those words mind you. That has no eloquence at all. That kind of sounded like it's been done over and over again. Then you'll win for sure!

the Nobel prize is too political to be won , when egypt excepted the peace treaty with isreal , they have been given three Nobel prizes , one peace prize for the president of egypt , and two scientists won it for discoveries that they discovered years before they where given the prizes

and obama was given one just after he increased the number of troops in afghanistan ,

and that chinese politician that was given one for his "peace" efforts never did anything related to peace , all he did was being a pain in the chinese government's ass
