The Uchiha have a tendency to act like Indra, so I just find it hard to remember that Obito and Indra are related. Don't forget that Obito's blood relation to his ancestor is tighter than ours might be to one of our ancestors, obviously due to inbreeding.
@Bold: Not really. That is just a fan-made stereotype based upon the behaviour of anywhere from 2 - 4 Uchihas (Madara and Sasuke definitely, with a side of Itachi and Obito).
Even amongst those 4 Uchihas, that wasn't their true nature. Tragic circumstances made them the way they ultimately became.
Madara was a nice kid who disagreed with the war that the adults kept on raging. He enjoyed skipping stones and he even befriended a Senju (Hashirama) and dreamed of creating a village with him.
It was the death of all his brothers, combined with Tobirama's snooping around, and the information left on the tablet by Black Zetsu that turned Madara into what he ultimately became.
Sasuke was originally a bright eyed little boy who looked up to his big brother and dreamed of joining the police force. He only became "Indra-like" when said big brother murdered their entire family!
Obito was (as this thread basically alludes to) a lot like Naruto. If anything, Obito was more like the Asura to Kakashi's Indra. Then Obito met Madara, and then Rin died, and then the rest is history.
Itachi was never really Indra-like to be honest, but even his whole edgy attitude was an act that he carried on for over 8 years.
There are so many more Uchihas who seem to be nothing like Indra:
Shisui
Kagami
Sarada
That old Uchiha couple who sold goods
Mikoto
Izumi
etc...
4 Uchihas is not a good basis to judge tendencies for an entire clan of people (that has existed for centuries). In fact, this basis becomes even worse when you realize that 2 out of those 4 Uchihas were literally Indra's reincarnations (thus making this likeness to Indra more likely an attribute of those 2 specifically rather than the Uchiha as a whole)!
