If you replace Leaf 5 Shikamaru with current do they succeed?

He's not much stronger but his strategies and leadership has increased tremendously. Plus now has Shadow Sewing as well as superior shadow control as he showed in all his fights against Hidan. Would they have pwned the Sound Four and brought Sasuke back to the village before Kimi even gotten into the picture and before Sasuke got out of the barrel?

nah naruto would have reached the valley of the end( forgot what its called) and not been able to beat part 1 sasuke. it would it been too hard.

if you rmbr clearly naruto made it to the end and actually got 1 on 1 wif sasuke. so yer they def would have won. if we replaced all of them, they would have gotten sasuke back ven before the drug wore off.

sound 5 have no chance.... the only 1 who would remotely have a chance would be kimimarou but he was also ill and has very little stamina so he probs wouldnt of been able to make a big difference either :/

Not a ****ing chance could the sound 5 handle it. Think about it, Naruto alone would be enough. Not to mention everyone has gotten stronger, and Chouji's abilities have become far more apparent now (especially his expansion jutsu's)

I'm not sure they would have made it to the VotE because I think they could have defeated the Sound Four or stolen the barrel in the first or second encounter.

Sasuke would not have made it to the valley of the end. Remember the sound four were in battle with other ninja, so they were already damaged, exhausted from running all night, had an upper hand because of the surprise attack and on top of that the "Leaf five" as kids stole the barrel when they were kids because of shickamaru alone if you replace him now he would just capture the sound four off gaurd and use shadow sewing/choke/pin to hold all of them down while the kids escape and he waits for back up (since he has already done this once and would know what to expect)

I think if you switched out any of them with current (especially Naruto lol), Sound 4 would of been done 12 episodes before VotE, 10 if we replace Shikamaru(nap time xd).

Yeah, current Shikamaru would kill them in the first fight actually since he'd go from Shadow mimic to Shadow Sewing after he first caught them and that would instant kill some of them.

Yup...he is much better at coordinating strategy, and his Shadow techs can now kill...at least they looked fatal on Hidan XD. That or render them immobile...

You mean jounin Neji, current Shikamaru, current Naruto!, Kiba, Butterfly Choji? Yeah they would own unless you meant no Naruto or base Naruto. Still Konoha team would win without help from the Sand Siblings.

Although none of them is soloing if that is what you are asking. Certainly not Shikamaru lol.
