To me I don't see what other reasonable story that sounds better than eating a fruit from a sacred tree? What? the juubi vomited a chest. so the woman opened that chest only to realize it's another chest. So she keeps opening one after the other. Until she got tired so she went up to the juubi took a bite because she was so furious. The juubi then admired the woman and gave her a muffin to which she ate the entire thing that gave her chakra. The juubi then tried to get revenge because it didn't get a bite. It's like what's a better story. Many people are quite unimpressed. I know it's a play from adam and eve but I don't think there could be any other story that could sound less ridiculous?

The Juubi being the actual root of the chakra. At first, it wasn't hostile. It met Rikudou and taught him about chakra. With this, Rikudou taught everyone about chakra and how, because of the Juubi, everyone had dormant chakra genes within and with the application of physical and spiritual entities, one could conjure up a jutsu. However, with this happening, war broke out ever more so and that led to the Juubi revolting because the humans were damaging its earth. He would attempt to eradicate the world because they were wrongfully using chakra.
