The way I'd do it is that it wouldn't require great emotional trauma, but absolute balance over yin and yang stamina and chakra through the most intense physical and mental training. This in turn basically gives it the attributes of MS, and thus it could upgrade and manifest reality warping abilities like Tsukuyomi or Kamui.
The veins that appear around the eyes in base byakugan would appear throughout the body and sparkle from the chakra. The Byakugan itself would now take up the enirte eye rather than just the iris and sparkle as well like a crystal or gem, thus I'd dub it the Hoseki Byakugan or "The Jeweled White Eye."

The original techniques of the base Byakugan would still be intact. 64 palm, 128, palm, air palm, rotation, transparent vision, etc.
However, the hoseki byakugan would fix the imperfect 360 degree vision. It works similar to the eight gates as it unlocks chakra limits, though not as to the extreme. The hyuuga would be able to condense and crystalize the chakra in their bodies using their new yin yang release, essentially covering their bones with diamond and being able to release shards of it through their tenketsu at high speeds. I'd call it diamond palm and it is a cousin technique of the kaguya clan's dead bone pulse.
The new speed technique would be called prism sole, where the hyuuga can move faster than the speed of sound, though it's difficult to control as it's actual movement like lightning flicker and not teleportation.
The next technique I would call the frost bite palm. It is a cousin technique of Haku's Yuki clan and inserts chakra into the enemy in the form of the ice release and slowly freezes them from the inside out.
Maelstrom palm is an advanced rotation where the hyuuga moves so fast and combines their wind element with it, he/she disrupts the atmospheric pressure and causes tornadoes to form around them. Unlike the rotation, the hyuuga can keep the tornado going without spinning and can control it with his palms, causing it to spawn other tornadoes that attack at high speeds and strengths.
The final technique I have right now is Twin Lion Sentinals, the ultimate form of the twin lion fists. They take on the full forms of lions or larger, are remote controlled by the hyuuga, move at the same speed and emit sonic boom roars.
Hoseki Byakugan doesn't cause blindness, however it does vastly drain chakra at a rapid rate, can shorten the lifespan and permanently damage chakra and the body by overusing it, similar to eight gates and byakugou.
