Hello everyone and welcome to yet another thread provided by Thane's awesome bored brain.
This is a simple question - if you could change something that has happened in the series, what would you change? The question is two-fold - You may change one major event and something so trivial that it wouldn't affect the story at all. Your answers should have something to do with the story, and not about power levels, jutsu and the like.
There is one rule though - it must have happened in the series. Things like Minato dying or Itachi destroying the Uchiha clan are unchangeable. Also, please avoid unnecessary character bashing like "LULZ I WISH NARUKO DYEDD AGIANSTT HAKU LOL!".
The tiny thing I'd like to change is Baki's mask. It just looks ridiculous.
The major thing I'd like to change would be the development of Jinchuriki. I liked it way, way better when we only had Shukaku "the sand spirit" and the nine-tailed fox. Having a bunch of super powerful (even though some people were able to go head to head with them) as a means of preserving the power balance between villages is just absurd. I also loathed how some Jinchuriki became friends with their tailed beasts. I just felt that it was horribly unfitting.
What are your thoughts? I'm curious to see what you all think.
in that case I'd make Naruto a little more mature and smarter. I'm really sick of the out-of-the-blue-Naruto-comes-up-with-something-he-isn't-smart-enough-to-do-that move.
All the small details are alright with me. In the big picture, I would've wanted Kabuto to able to find Jiraiya's body, so he can revive him. I would love to see him fight Naruto
i wou change the itachi edo talking with saskue i wanted naruto and saskue to fight all out and saskue learn something now with itachii coming back he will calm ssaskue down make him more sane maybe even change his mind about the whole criminal life thing its lame
Note: All links I provide are when I was a horrible horrible noob at fanfiction, but the story is their and you'll get the jist of it, no matter how awful it's written.
The topic here is what would you have done differently in Naruto and what would you add? Here's what I would've done.
-Not kill Sasori, Hidan, or Kakuzu in their debut arcs. All three of them were trolled. Kishi could've showcased Sakura, Shikamaru, and Naruto's new move without killing them. With this, I would've given both Hidan and Kakuzu a backstory.

Summary
He captures hearts to replace his broken one. He had a lover so many years ago who died via a group of shinobi comprised of ninja from different villages. She was also the daughter of a rice guy who placed the bounty on her because he was in a tough spot. Kakuzu kills him afterwards and in doing so, grows a little obsession with money. Then at her grave Tobi/Madara/Masked Man tells him about a little thing going on in the rain village aka Akatsuki.

Summary
Hidan grows up in an extremely rough childhood, but his father is very caring and protective of him. Ruthless, but protective. Hidan doesn't understand religion. Later, his mom dies and gives him the necklace. Years later, Hidan kills a teenager who picks on him. He goes insane over enjoyment and thinks he's a monster. He gets over it and one day he returns home to find his dad dying. He grabs his dad's scythe and goes after the killer. Hidan gets upset and curses God. He says he'll make his own religion and his God is named after his father, Jashin. He gets struck by lightening and after a quick shock, sees a masked man attaching the guy who killed Hidan's dad. Hidan finishes the guy off and has a chat with his future teammate.
As for Sasori, just keep him alive, but have him the first to die. Let him capture his assigened beast and die later on.
-Keep Tobi as Madara and make Madara, more humane. Give Tobi a reason for his "peace." This also ties in Izuna, the EMS, and Zetsu.

-Give Kisame more pressure as a ninja to fully believe the world is lies. This also provides Fuguki, the former wielder of Samehada, a backstory and makes deepens the trust between Madara/Kiame.

Summary
Kisame is troubled with lies, but he's a normal guy. It takes place before he gets Samahada, just a little. He has a lover who is the daughter of the current of Samahada. He's a mosnter who even the sword dislikes, but Kisame isn't. Kisame thinks he is one though. After his lover is threatened by Fuguki, Kisame attack him and Samahada joins Kisame and betrays his master. After a fight, Fuguki kills his own daughter and Kisame brutally kills Fuguki, so much that Madara himself has to calm him down. This also ties in with Madara's backstory I've given him.
-Made Konan and Yahiko kiss during the scene they almost did. Should've happened. To my memory, it didn't.
-Made Kimimaro talk, fight, and then be free against Jugo. This would give Kimimaro closure, more screentime in the war (Aswell as Jugo), and give Jugo closure aswell.
-Made the Seven Swordsmen fight SEEN. Kishi, the hell? I would've had them fight for like a whole chapter. Have them all do a super awesome water dragon/monster combo. The last one I'd have seal is Mangetsu, since he mastered all of the swords. I'd have Suigetsu find his way to the battlefield and Mangetsu would pass the torch to him after they go at it. This gives these two demons some closure, aswell as fufulling Suigetsu's dream since all swords are there.
-Made Kabuto summon Jiraiya against Sasuke/Itachi and then after a good fight, Kabuto would enter Dragon Sage mode.
-Gave Chiyo, Sasori, Sai's bro, Kakuzu, and some more more screentime in the war. They'd still die/get freed in the same fashion, but more screen time. I'd also have them each atleast kill someone with a name, someone we know, someone we like, like Kankuro or Mifune.
-Made Hinata die during Pain's invasion. Seriosuly, she'd get brought back anyways. Why not kill her? I'd also make Kakashi's fight against Pain a little longer.
-Give all females way more screentime and give Sakura genjutsu. She has the skills, as said in early Part 1. I'd enlarge that ability. I'd give Tenten chakra strings and the affinity lightening. She's be someone to reckon with then. I'd give Ino all her moves in the UN game series. Flowers, poison, and explosions?! FTW.
-Bring back Gaara's fangirls in the first arc of Shippuden.
-Show the Black Zetsu vs Mei fight in full. What the hell happened Kishi? I want to se Mei and Zetsu kick ass. I'd have Zetsu kill Chojoro, or whatever his name is.
-Give Danzo more screentime inbetween his debut in early Shippuden and his death. I'd also make him use Inzangi more effectivly. I'd literally have Sasuke win within an inch of his life.
-Not have White Zetsu get owned by Sasuke when he debuts EMS. He might still be okay, but seriously....I want to see Zetsu's power.
-To add onto earlier, I'd have the 7 swordsmen tear a new a-hole into the army. They are feared in many countries. Seriously, I'd have maybe Guy die against them to protect Lee. Eigth gate! Just saying.
-Not have the Zetsu's assault on the Shinobi at night happen the first night. War goes onto for a weeks, not days Kishi......You have time. Capitalize on it.
-Make Neji die protecting Hinata, and also give him and Tenten more of a romantice relationship.
-Have Kakashi and Mei have a kid, and Darui be their homie/friend. If Guy doesn't die, he can join. Seriously, imagine the team of Kakashi, Mei, and Darui. Team badass/sexy/cool. Their (Mei+Kakashi) child would be a ripped Jesus with cooler hair and a mask. You'd walk into their little village and, even though you don't want to say it, you'd say I'd want to f--- that baby. (Joke ripped from Tosh)
-Give Neji more screentime in Shippuden and some cool new moves, since he is like the master of the Byuakugan. As I said earlier, have him die protecting Hinata. It can still happen. He dies via Sasuke and before he dies, he says he's proud to be a Hyuuga, related to Hinata, a member of team Guy, and that he loves Tenten.
-Show Rin's death in a flashback when Kakashi visits Obito's grave. It can still happen.
-Make the flashback of Madara vs the 1st be the longest OP amazing battle in Naruto, ever. It deserves so much.
-Make Nagato/Itachi vs Bee/Naruto and later/Itachi, much longer.
-I wouldn't have had Naruto or Sasuke join the war so damn fast.
-Made Konan and Kisame's last arc apparent in the anime opening instead of stupid dancing, although it's an awesome opening.
-Make Anbu more kickass. They are always dying and not showing alot of stuff. Let them die, but show them kicking ass. Seriously.-This addition to my list was inspired by al3xsmith13.
I'd change Sasuke having his cursed mark taken away and not give him MS. I liked seeing him rely on his own abilities more than hiding behind amaterasu and Susanoo. Another thing I'd like changed is have Tsunade actually FIGHT during the Pain invasion. Yeah healing villagers is cool and all but don't you think stopping the threat altogether would prevent more people from dying.
