Those 2 are basically the same methods that work with regulare genjutsus. The biggest problem is to realise you are in genjutsu ,after you do that its easy to release genjutsu.

But this is not always case. Tsukuyomi is exception as we know. Also Pain did realise he is inside genjutsu and he even talked to Jiraiya yet he could not break free from it.

The two times Maa and Paa used it, all the targets were immobilized and were unable to fight back.

Not to mention there genjutsu works on multiple targets in the area of effect at the same time.

I don't think there is any way to escape it. The Genjutsu supposedly trap the target brain completely. Without a brain, the body won't be able to do anything or move an inch. So, the victim is basically done for.

Yeah, those methods apply to any Genjutsu. And you also have to take into account the Genjutsu being invoked.

It was "immune to visual Genjutsu", keyword visual. That was according to Databook, but it was exposed as someone trolling the translation. The Genjutsu used by Ma and Pa was a sound Genjutsu; it's not the same.

This is one that no one is escaping by themselves...These paralysis type Genjutsu( The ones that stop the body from moving) seem to be the most dangerous. Being sound based just makes it worse if you are relying on someone to break you out of it.
