If you are an Itachi fan, does that automatically mean you used to hate Sasuke?

Was being an Itachi fan made you hate Sasuke (Hebi/Taka) because Sasuke wanted to destroy Konoha?

I never hated Sasuke. I think hating an anime character, for the most part, is stupid (there are exceptions like Nobuyuki Sugō from SAO). I did however think he became abit insane for awhile there.
