Then at a young age Kakashi is questioned by the Uchiha clan and becomes Minato's guard during the Kyuubi Attack.

THEN at another point Kakashi is approached by Hiruko and marked for a future apocalypse pact.

His father commits suicide, his sensei and the first lady die and then he loses his best friend ONLY TO THEN LOSE HIS OTHER BEST FRIEND AND BECOME TRASHKASHI

He also joins the ANBU and becomes recklessly suicidal. He meets Itachi, Yamato and Orochimaru. He also goes on a huge mission where he fights Orochimaru.

He was seduced by Danzo as he tried to recruit him to join the Foundation, where he battled Yamato again.

As well as living through 2 wars, fighting his best friend, becoming a Susanoo with his best friend, fighting his students, battling the MOST AKATSUKI, learn new jutsu, invent new ones, saving the world from Obito, Kaguya and Madara, deals with Hiruko's pending apocalypse, goes on countless missions to other lands in both filler and movies....and he still has time for a fledgling romance and to become life partners with Guy.

And there was also that time he did Die Hard on a blimp before becoming the actual Hokage.

He's also a sensei on the side. Sometimes.

This guy has the most eventful life in the entire NV. Has anybody done more with their time than Kakashi?
Who has more backstory? Itachi? Madara? Obito?

Honestly he doesn't have as much development or depth- but just in terms of events...Kakashi has more than the main characters by far.

It's fine though bc other than the Last he lived in a fodder era where not a lot needed to happen. The novels kinda cute bc Kakashi himself addresses this often.

The only ninja with more backstory than kakashi is Naruto and Obito. We've had more filler associated to Obito than black zetsu ooze on Madara :bdpf:

We're talking events not depth or development. Like, Kakashi didn't gain any insight from the Orochimaru mission but it's just the quantity of stuff.

Also wow w h a t? two of the most overexposed and overwanked characters weren't done justice? I hugely disagree.

I made a ranking list of most development a month back and put Kakashi at #10. A reformed once-suicidal man who lost everything to him is just tired and self-loathing but puts that aside to just move on with his life and provide for the next generation is heart-breaking and actually explored quite well. Kamui did it's best to try ruin the character but that just ain't so.

dude kakashi was ignored for most of part 2.I mean before the war arc his only moment came in the fight vs kakuzu.he certainly wasn't over exposed. they are wanked because they are awesome

From what I know(I don't really watch the anime), Kakashi was never suicidal. He just simply didn't care if he died or not. He never tried to kill himself.

It's from the best Naruto movie ever and is actually a really solid story which adds more to the Universe, furthers relvant character development for Kakashi, Naruto & Shikamaru and doesn't feel like filler but sure- ignore it and make it redundant if you liiiike

We don't know a lot about Kakashi at this age except for what's said by others about the state he's in- I think it's very heavily inferred that he's in a suicidal way. He's just externalising it, akin to the way many 'fighter' personalities do be it soldiers (real world warriors) or depressed but proactive people. This is the closest a character has come to suicidal in the NV, he's just doing it the Shinobi way.
