I'd rather they be rebels of some struggle pre-shinobi... Though I doubt any established force was before the sage and his mother.

Don't care if they are directly linked to the sage, but I'd like them to be distinct from senju and Uchiha.

I think it is an offshoot from the senju clan sometime back in the generations. I highly doubt that SO6P was an Uzumaki
