Instead of the boruto manga we're getting. We legit get a part 3 and this was a cover that foreshadowed the villain. Would this be more interesting to you or nah?
(fanmade cover so don't judge too hard)

I'd probably be mad there's a part 3 but boy does that look better than the chapters.... Maybe Hidan fans will appreciate this?

I doubt Kishi is going to write another sequel again, do you know how much it weighs on the author's mental state to work on a series like Naruto every week? Some authors barely get's a night rest, in fact, Kishi even said in an interview, he never got the chance to have a honeymoon.
In previous interviews, Kishimoto talked about how his work on Naruto took away from his family life. He got married while he was writing Naruto so he never had a honeymoon. The moderator quipped that his trip to New York could be considered a honeymoon with all of his fans.

Why does he look like another Otsutsuki fodder?
This is based on the theory that he's some sort of otsutsuki. Better than some punk supposedly one shotting naruto. i'd pay to see that tho.

This is a what if. besides he said this later.
"There are infinite possibilities right now. If I decide that I want to do more Naruto stories, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. That said, there is nothing firmly in the works at this time. Just that there is always the possibility…"

Nah. Assuming there isn't a scenario where everyone can just drop this franchise and let it rest with whatever dignity it has left, I'd rather have the Boruto manga.

At least with the Boruto manga we're guaranteed new storylines after the recap is over. New characters to learn about, new stories to follow. If there was a legit part 3 it would be just as stale and redundant as the last half of the war arc - we've already seen everything we need to regarding Naruto and his peers. Its time to pass the torch.

In a way boruto is a part three though. Wish the author didn't tease us with those four pages tho.

I would argue against that. Even in the four pages, you can make the clear distinction that this is Boruto's story. Naruto and Sasuke will be in it, but they will be taking the back seat. It is a part 3 in the sense that it's a continuation, but if you were to use that logic any continuation of any manor could be looked at as a part 3.

And I'm glad we were teased with the four pages. Honestly, if they hadn't done that I feel like some if not most of their readers would have quit the manga already as it would have been straight recap without any idea of whats to come after.

There's a few things about the drawing throwing me off, like the horns and pain rods for example. I still like the idea though.
Well, at least someone appreciates it.

I meant part three as continuing the story but in boruto's perspective.
I believe these are called sequel spinoffs? im not sure.

Good on ya m8. Good to know you like to get baited into reading the manga but only to wait months and months of waiting for that battle to continue.

I don't believe I was baited at all. I don't know if you read the manga or not, but for arguments sake lets say you do: If for two months all you have been getting is rehash, would you reconsider the material? For most people here, that answer is an indefinite yes - however the first four pages at least give you some idea of the story ahead.

Personally however, its not that battle that I read for. Those first four pages or so connected me more than the entirety of the war arc. They gave me the same feeling the classic, pre-time skip Naruto gave me. When the story was more about it's characters and less about the larger than life jutsu, the cliche prophecies, and what the next power-up is. The Boruto movie set up the smaller character driven storylines so well, that I can only hope that the manga continues that feeling.

From what I've seen people are irritated that we have to wait for who knows how long. You even made a thread on why they were complaining so much. It boils down to either complaining about the tease or drop the series since there's no hype. That's pretty subjective and i don't speak for people so who knows what they'd chose?

Both of you are right though. Without the 4 page teaser most would have dropped the manga because it's just canonizing the Boruto movie.

But at the same time it is a lazy money making gimmick to just rehash something most have already watched when the author should have just started the manga post Boruto movie and before the inevitable time skip that will bring us back to the first 4 pages we read.

It dies suck that we have to wait a few months for some more new materials because corporate greed. But I will check back with the manga when we actually get some new story material.

Honestly if they wanted to recap the Boruto movie it should have been done in flashbacks periodically while dealing with new material.
