A man arises to the sound of a crying infant.
Minato: Shh Naruto, today shall be a long dong, save your energy...
The man, now fully dressed enters his office, to be met by his sensei Jiraiya, Jiraiya's team-mate Tsunade, his two advisors Koharu (an elderly woman) and Homura (an equally old man) and lastly Kakashi.
Mianto: Good you all made it, and Kakashi, you're on time!
Kakashi: Well I rose extra early today, considering the situation.
Minato: Well we should begin, I've brought you all here to talk about the past and future of the village. Firstly, the most pressing is the future, we need to focus on rebuilding the village, and compensating the families of the departed-
Koharu: Well if We're talking about the welfare of the Village then shouldn't Danzo be here? He is after-all the head of Root Anbu.
Minato: No, you five are here because I know you're trustworthy, I cannot say the same for Danzo. While he may not have had anything to do with the recent attack *The elders faces fill with shock at the implication of someone of their generation like Danzo, who has stayed with the village throughout could ever betray them* but he most certainly has an ulterior motive.
Homura: I assure you Hokage, his main priority is and always has been the welfare of this village.
Minato: Perhaps, but it all depends on what you consider to be the welfare, and how you go about achieving those goals. Whereas I'm concerned with a chance of our people being able to live peacefully without the fear of death or war constantly looming, and wish to build bridges, Danzo I feel is more interested in tearing down bridges and standing victorious on a mountain of corpses, a mixture of the enemies and our own.
Jiraiya: Not to mention he's not unfamiliar with using deceitful and illegal, underhand tactics to get what he wants. He's always creeped me out.
Tsunade: Not to mention the rumours of him aiding Orochimaru in his vile experiments-
Koharu: As you said yourself young lady they were rumours, nothing more.
Minato: It doesn't matter! The point is I'm not comfortable with Danzo being informed of anything we speak of here so no-one shall speak of it, to anyone! Now, I believe the man behind the attack was an Uchiha, while I cannot be sure, as he was masked, he did have the sharingan eye. It is possible that it was a transplanted eye, but as I'm sure Kakashi will tell you, using a sharingan when not an Uchiha is extremely strenous, and drains you of chakra quickly, yet the masked man was extremely skilled with the sharingan, even taking control of the Nine-tails is an unbelievable feat for any uchiha. In fact the only man to ever have been noted to control the Kyuubi like that is...
Homura: Madara Uchiha
Minato: Precisely, as you've been around the longest I was hoping you would tell me what you know about him?
Homura: He was.... a monster, his power was unmatched by all except the first.
Minato: Is there anyway that he could've been behind the attack?
Koharu: Unlikely, he's older than us, and said to have perished in that fight against the 1st Hokage.
Minato: But we can't rule it out right? I mean, someone on his level
Homura: You flatter yourself Hokage.
Minato: Excuse me?
Homura: Look, you're good kid, the type of ninja who only comes around once in a generation, but if it had been madara you were facing off against, you wouldn't be here today. He would've killed you.
Minato: Well surely there's some way...
Jiraiya: Hey kid, I've been tracking Orochimaru during my travels, and he seems to have joined an organisation of some sort, he immediately became a lot harder to track. He's the only person I've been able to identify in that group though, the others are a mystery to me.
Minato: Do they have any ties to any of the other hidden villages?
Jiraiya: Sorry kid, like I said all I know is that Orochimaru has been initiated, so we can assume that they're extremely dangerous... Oh I'm pretty sure the name of the group is Akatsuki.
