Two great iron doors stand solid, in a shadowy alleyway in the slums of the leaf village, suddenly 4 men appear out of nowhere.
Minato: Glad I set this seal here, I just wished I had laid some inside
Shikaku: How were you to know supposed to know that the time would come that we had to launch an assault on our greatest military force
Fugaku: You're not scared, are you?
Shikaku: Hardly
Jiraiya: I'll handle the door
The eldest man calmly walked up to the Huge doors and placed his hand on them.
Jiraiya: GIANT RASENGAN!
Suddenly a huge swirling mass of chakra exploded from his palms, and the doors were blasted inwards, even ripping part of the walls down with them
Shikaku: *sarcastically* Gee I wonder if they have detected us yet
Jiraiya: We haven't got time to be worrying about detection
Minato: Good to see you're putting my Jutsu to good use sensei
Jiraiya: Well, what can I say, It's a handy jutsu
Minato: Just wait until it's finished! Come on!
The four men dashed down the hallway, following the corridors, until they came to a fork in the road, then the Hokage placed his finger on the ground, while the others waited silently
Minato: This isn't good
Shikaku: What is it?
Minato: Well, there's a major battle happening about 200 metres down the left way
Fugaku: Well that's what we were expecting right?
Minato: Yes but about 25 metres down, there are 3 weak chakra signals, whoever is there is hurt bad, we need to hurry
The three hurried down the corridor to find 3 people laying there, one of them a girl about 13 years old
???: Please, lord Hokage help me
Fugaku: These are Danzo's soldiers, just leave them
Minato: Fugaku, they are all my soldiers, she wears the leaf headband doesn't she! Besides she's just a child!
The man rushed over to the girl
Minato: We need a medic, shit! I'm going to take her to the hospital
Fugaku: While you're saving an enemy, how many of our allies will die!? Lord Hokage, please think logically
Minato: It won't take me a moment, you three go on, I'll be back before you even get to the battle
Suddenly the girl tried to plunge a kunai into the heart of the Blonde man holding her in his arms, but the man was too fast and grabbed the girl's forearm before she could reach
Minato: Danzo set this up? Danzo beat you to near death, just to kill me, and you still tried to do his bidding!?
???: That was the mission Lord Danzo gave to us
Minato: Well, sorry but that's one mission you failed
One of the other Root ninja spoke up this time, this one a man, of about 30 years of age
???: I wouldn't be so sure, Lord Hokage
As he finished his sentence, black markings appeared over the bodies of the 3 root ninja, the markings then began to glow blue
Shikaku: GET AWAY FROM THEM!!
Back in Police Force Headquarters
Raidō: Fugaku and Lord Hokage have asked you to back them up at the Foundation HQ. This is an urgent order, you must leave immediately
Yashiro: Ofcourse, but what is happening!?
Raidō: It seems as though the Foundation has become untrustworthy
Yashiro: Well we'll leave immediately! Inabi, tell Shisui to stay back and guard the copy brat!
Inabi: Okay
The Uchiha ran to the medical ward of the Police head quarters, and burst into the room of Kakashi Hatake
Shisui: Is something wrong Inabi san?
Inabi: Yes, the Hokage and Lord Fugaku are entering battle against Root, we're going to back them up, you'll be guarding Hatake alone
Shisui: Okay but-
Before Shisui could finish his thoughts, Kakashi interrupted
Kakashi: Sensei is fighting against Root!? In that case I'm coming with you
Kakashi tried to move from his bed but the pain stopped his movements
Shisui: Please Kakashi, you'll open your stitches, Inabi san-
Once again Shisui was interrupted, this time by a rumble that shook the entire building
Shisui: Earthquake?
Kakashi: No, that was more like an explosion
Inabi: A big one. We must go, good luck Shisui!
With that, Inabi left the room, in fact everyone in the police head quarters left, everyone except Shisui and Kakashi
Shisui: Well, this is uncomfortable
Kakashi: How so?
Shisui: Well, I've been charged with the responsibility of guarding the star pupil of the Hokage, on my own, in a deserted building, in the Uchiha district, which is now also deserted of any shinobi
Kakashi: Shisui, I have full faith that you will protect me
Kakashi smiled at the boy, who smiled back, and the two proceeded to laugh
???: I thought they would never leave!
The sound of the sinister voice struck the two like a dagger in the stomach, Kakashi and Shisui's eyes were both drawn to the window, from where the voice came, and there sat a ninja wearing a mask
Kakashi: I take it you're one of Danzo's men
???: You would guess correct, copy ninja. The name I have been given is Shinji.
Kakashi: I see.
Shisui dashed in the space between Kakashi, and Shinji, with a kunai already drawn
Kakashi: Shisui!
Shisui: Don't worry Kakashi, I will protect you
Kakashi: No Shisui, run.
Shisui: What!?
Kakashi: This man will kill you, he is Shinji, he is known for his assassination skills, amongst the anbu he was quite notorious.
Shisui: So what, I can't let him just kill you
Shinji: well that's very honorable, but you don't seem to understand, you see I am-
Shinji disappeared and appeared behind Shisui, and he swiftly struck Shisui in the side of the head, with the back of his fist, knocking him across the room
Shinji: A bit too fast for you
Shinji laughed, a laugh so sinister, Shisui couldn't help but flinch at the sound of it
Kakashi: Shinji has mastered the Body Flicker technique to such a level that he's almost impossible to land a hit, if I were in a better state I could fight him, but as I am, it's just best that you get out of here Shisui
Shinji: Don't flatter yourself Kakashi, even in your healed state you couldn't beat me
Kakshi: How about you let me heal, and then we'll see how you fare against me
Shinji: Nice try, but today is the day the Foundation up-root, can't afford to fail this mission for Danzo
Kakashi: And what mission would that be?
Shinji: Kill you, and take your Sharingan
Shisui: Well, if you're looking for Sharingan, I have two right here!
As Shisui says this, he activates his sharingan
Shinji: Wow, impressive, I didn't expect someone so young to have unlocked the great dojutsu of the Uchiha, only two tomoe though... Oh well.
Kakashi: Shisui you fool!, you think he'll let you run now!?
Shinji appears in front of Shisui and knees him in the chest, forcing him into the wall behind him, and severely cracking it, as Shisui begins to fall to the ground, Shinji catches him by the throat
Shinji: You're eyes first
Kakashi: If you take his eyes, you'll lose mine, and mine is fully formed!
Kakashi begins to pull out a Kunai, but Shinji appears at his side and knocks it out of his hand and it falls to the floor
Shinji: Fine, you first.
Kakashi tries to throw a punch, but Shinji digs his fingers into Kakashi's stab wound, which causes him to scream out in agony, immobilised by the pain. Shinji then with his other hand goes to remove Kakashi's eye, his fingers begin to touch the eye, and suddenly to Kakashi's confusion, stop moving completely, Shinji's hand removes from Kakashi's wound, and he begins to stumble backwards. Kakashi looks down to see Shisui, holding a Kunai in the heart of Shinji, who by now is losing Consciousness.
Shinji: How could you-
Shisui: You let me see your jutsu too many times, I copied it.
Shinji's mask falls from his face, and he begins to laugh
Shinji: Ahaha you really are quite a special kid.
Kakashi: What was that explosion earlier?
Shinji: Most likely the Kamekaze sealing Jutsu, Danzo places it on the weakest members of the foundation, when he needs to use them as a surprise attack, anyone within 50 metres of that explosion will be killed. No doubt.
Shinji fell to the ground, and ceased movement.
Shisui: Hey Kakashi!
Kakashi: Yes Shisui?
Shisui: I told you I would protect you!
Kakashi: Yes, thank-you Shisui, you done a great job of it too
Shisui: Any room on that hospital bed? I think I need a rest.
The two probably would've laughed, if they weren't struck with worry for their superiors.
