I agree with you guys rooting with the Slugs. It makes the most sense in the Story. Why leave out the Slugs when the Snakes and Toads can teach their summoners the Sage Arts?
But frankly, I'd like to see the Sage Mode that Ototsuki Haguromo could have used....before sealing up the Shinju.
