[Discussion] If they fought Akagami pirates during the war

Now that I think about it. I think the marines could actually still win even after WB.

They still have Garp and Sengoku who didnt really do much. Three admirals (kizaru untouched) vice admirals and Doflamingo might help them as well. And dont forget about Kuma.

The reason they didnt fight Shanks is I guess to preserve it to the final war. I guess Oda doesnt wanna show Shanks and Garps real power yet. And other bigtimers.

lol? Marco can take on Kizaru. He is admiral level and think about it... do you honestly think that WB is going to place someone as first division commander and can't take on an admiral? He can destroy Kizaru and maybe Aokiji.

As for Shanks. Shanks can take on Akainu/Sengoku. His crew alone are all strong as ****.

Nah with all the damage that one yonko did they did not want another, Shanks would've killed it and it would've been a win for the pirates in my opinion, and the war would've been dragged out allowing more pirate crews to possibly come

Well, we don't know the extent of Shanks' crew. It's a lot smaller than WB's so I think they have many more stronger individuals. I think the Akagami Pirates would take this one, or deal some seeeeeeerious damage to the Marines. There wouldn't be many left standing. Shanks' CoC would easily take out all the fodder and some strong ones as well.

It would've been interesting to see. I'm assuming some hyped up as Shanks would also have lots of strong division captains and allies in very similar strength comparison to the whitebeard pirates and allies.

So considering this much damage was done to the Marines, and Marineford just by Whitebeard pirates and allies. I'm guessing shanks could do much much more.

Remember he's got the conquerors haki, he could use that, make weak marines unconscious and then his men to go wild. + Do you really think these people will go down that easily aha?

Don't get me started on Akainu. A full one-on-one battle with Akainu, i reckon Shanks could've taken him since he was badly beaten up by Whitebeard. The remnants of the whitebeard pirates would've also joined in making it an all out brawl.

Like someone suggested above " to prevent the final destined war from occurring this early in the series". As well as accomplishing what the marines wanted, there was no more reason to continue to fight.​

Eh, you're downplaying the admirals lol. No one would be able to take em down without high difficulty and get some severed injuries.(probs except for WB when he arrived at MF, though he could probs do so to most top tiers)

I believe that, Shanks is as strong as, Roger and Garp during their prime and such.
His real power has yet to be shown but when he went into WB's ship tearing shit up with haki... You can tell how beast he must be. And at the same time he probably wasn't letting lose all his haki.
I think, Shanks' skills may have been weakened because of his missing arm though.

I don't think so. The only reason why he was able to go toe to toe with WB was because he was old and sick. Not saying what Shanks wasn't epic especially b/c hes handicap. Yes ofc his skills have been weakened. I would imagine as him being equal or a tad weaker than prime WB, if he had two hands.
