If there was an unlimited amount of everything and no death, would wars cease?

We'd 'kill' each other for sport.

Wars aren't just fought over resources. Wars are fought over who -controls- those resources. Thus, to understand wars, one has to understand how people decide if they are not one of the people with influence over the resource and how desperate they are for that resource. To understand how desperate they are for that resource - you have to understand their ideology.

Thus, wars are mostly ideological based on who we believe we are and what we believe we are entitled to.

If you want to get religious - the Bible (and many other early civilizations) speak of angels -or divine beings- who lived in perfect harmony until one of them (who was called a deceiver and accuser) prompted a war in the heavens.

Wars will not cease simply because of plenty and immortality. This is because wars are largely a conflict of ideologies and cultural identities.

Exactly! Not to mention there are always people who deem themselves better than others, and the manipulators, not to mention the complete psychopaths. With even those people having the same immortality you speak of. The world can only hope so see ultimate oppression and violence.

People already find a way to commit horrendous things for personal gain. Now imagine giving them even longer to do such actions. No matter how much a person has they will always want more. That is why the poor seek to be rich, and the rich keep getting richer. It's the circle of life. (Well progression but you get my point )

Then we will fight to have most amount of that everything and we will destroy the world because we won't die .
