Then why do the seperate Pains talk to each other as if they were seperate entities? E.G when Jiraiya takes the Animal Path to his barrier the Deva turns around and tells the other paths "I don't sense him". It's a question I've had for a while so please no flaming.

It's not the talking, it's the plot hole where the same person is talking to themselves using a different body to talk to another body they are also controlling.

Yeah i'v thought about that too.The 6 pains talk to themselves like they're different entities because they are the six 'PATHS' of pain....the word 'paths' makes it seem like having 6 different personalities....so nagato shares this 6 personalities among the 6 corpses and supplies dem with abundant chakra so dat they can move and use ninjutsu

Simply to not give away the secret in the first chapter athough maybe he was just talking to himself out loud or maybe hes gone crazy.I mean he did butcher all of Hanzos supporters family's simply for supporting him.

But he don't have to tell it to his other Paths since he controls them all. And I guess that the Pain hear what the other Pains hear, too. Remember when Ningendou found out where Naruto was staying. This information came to Deva immediately. It's not like the vision and the ears of the Paths are linked, Nagato is the one who sees everything through each eye and hears anything through each ear of the Paths.
