If the obvious options for hokage were dead let´s say naruto, sasuke, kakashi, shikaku and tsunade.
Who do you think would be the best option for hokage?
For me it would be shikamaru and my reasons are:
1.he´s a genuis which makes him a hell of an strategist.
2.he was one of the right hands of tsunade so knows about the job and how the leaf works internally.
3.he was responsible for the shonin exams so he knows a lot of ninjas.
4.he remains calm in every situation.
5.he understands how the leaf works with other villages and feudal lords as he was responsible of the communication with the hidden sand and has been in the meetings of feudal lords.
6.Out of k11 shikamaru is the most respected and trustworthy guy.
7.he took down an akatsuki member all on his own.
8.he was the second in command within gara´s division, but since gara was general of the SA, so he was technically the captain making him responsible for about 20000 shinobi, more or less the amount he would be handling as hokage, so he has experiencehandling great amounts of people.
9.when HQ were destroyed he became the brains of the SA, so he´s known and respected by all shinobi too.
10.he helped save the SA when the juubidama was thrown as that bought them time for minato to come.
11.when the SA was feeling useless around the edo kages and naruo and sasuke he lifted their spirits and got them to help in the tug of war with juubito.
