I don't think it matters. If the movie is canon and it cones out before the anime ends it's not like people won't watch the rest of the anime. The same applies to if it isn't canon obviously.

People have to consider were naruto series is made. It's made in Japan and the bulk of people in japan who are fans in japan read the manga and the anime is just to see the manga in motion picture.

The anime could be caught up to where the manga is now in 15-20 episodes, but that would put the end of canon anime in early 2015.
So the movie will be released before the end of the series is animated.

I hope the studio doesn't decide to prolong Shippuden with fillers before doing the rest of it.

I totally agree, people fail to realize it 3 episodes maybe even 2 the god tree is going to make its debut. Sasuke got to the battlefield 3 or 4 episodes ago. That would mean in the course of 8/9 episodes Sasuke got to the battle field and the god tree came to life. The story could catch up to the manga easily in 20 episodes or less
