The senju clan being able to awaken the rinnegan with uchiha DNA injected.

Because That the rinnegan only split into uchihas not senjus although the sage of six paths had the rinnegan but it split.
While senju have the power to hold it I do not believe it could be awakened if uchiha dna was injected in.

If a senju implanted the uchiha dna (the sharingan) there would be a slim chance they could awaken it. Being there is only one person who awakened the rinnegan (madara) the ways he did seem the most effecfient. Nagato was given the rinnegan. If he was given the sharingan not sure how thag would turn out.

Also i would like to add that the uchiha had possession on the stone monument left by ridokuu. There is a reason why ridokuu left this too the uchiha instead of the senju. 1. There eye techs are the only techs that can read it 2. The ridokuu himself intended n wanted the infinite genjutsu.

If the elder son inherited everything eyes yin life-force and yang chakra he would have the rinnegan but he didn't

I believe what was hinted was the SO6P got the rinnegan after he became the host of the 10 tails. but when he had his eldest son got his (yin) his eye powers and assorted skill with jutsu while the youngest got his (yang) vitality/lifeforce. now i guess while both are split the eye power of the rinnegan diminishes into the sharingan..but when melded with both yin and yang you get the rinnegan. Evidence of this is Nagato who is presumed an uzumaki, and rumor has it is the SO6P was also an uzumaki so the equation becomes senju+uchiha = Uzumaki but that little bit is stricly speculation.
