I think, since he passed all his powers to Sasuke, Sasuke will be able to control time within tsukuyomi now with his EMS and talk to Itachi about everything in the split second before he leaves but he will definitely be dispelled by Edo.

Someone mentioned that if Itachi was still linked to Kabuto then he would have just ended the summons. But as Kabuto said you only have to make him do three hand signs to end it, i imagine that dispells all Edo's at the same time which would have been inconvienient. Kabuto didnt realise Itachi could track him so he didnt bother wasting time. But i do think if Kabuto ends it then Itachi will fade away also, as for Madara has no one considered that once he's released from Edo that Tobi may just rez him with the rinnegan as Nagato was supposed to?

Edo Madara is actually in the way of Madara's true plans he needs to come back in a real way so its not over even if Edo ends.

The way I look at it is, Kabuto cannot release Itachi, otherwise he would have already in their battle. The steps Itachi took to free himself from Kabuto's control freed him from it entirely. However, after defeating Kabuto, I believe Itachi will relinquish himself having found "peace" as many of the other Edo's have in the manga and anime.
