If still alive, who would have made a great hokage?

I cant shake the feeling that there was so many candidates for those to suceed or would have been a great hokage if still alive: sakumo hatake (whitefang),shisui of the body flicker,minato namikaze, itachi uchiha (before massacre), jaraiya, asuma asuma and dan (tsunades lover)

which of these would have made a great hokage if still alive today?

hmm, well it has been established that jarayai was a candidate for the title of fifth hokage, but whether or not he would be the "best" i'm not sure.

also itachi loved his village so much he killed off his whole family to protect it (exept saskue) whom he should have delt with swiftly last time they met i might add

I'm gonna say Minato. Just because we know he actually was a great Hokage and, when you think of the fact that during the Kakashi Gaiden he wasn't Hokage yet and was killed a few years after that during the Nine Tails attack, well.. You know - I think he would have been a great Hokage if given more time.
