My thoughts exactly, Sasuke is in Top 3 of the best Naruto characters, for me he has been driving the whole manga after the fight with Itachi

In my head, that's how Kishi would've done it. Her motivation wouldn't have been portrayed as well and it'd just look like she was bullying Naruto or something probably (with Sakura). The females in this have a tendency to try and be strong independent & tough like Ino, TenTen, Sakura, Tsunade but it's usually done in the form of comical relief, abusing a male character or getting shat on or saved a few minutes later. I'm not saying female characters can't have depth or a good backstory but I could imagine female Sasuke just being a bit of a punk.

She'd have the backstory but would be less cool and mysterious and would get the typical female brute attitude. "Don't underestimate me!" And all that. Ya get me? That and the sexual tension between Sasuke and Naruto would be more commonly acknowledged seen as some people may be homophobic. It'd be like the Witcher love triangle or something similar. Naruto could go with the dark mysterious girl or the cheerey girly girl. I just feel Kishi would put that stereotypical twist on it. Even the 2 female characters in Teen Titans were like that. Kishi would hinge team 7 on that rather than developing Sasuke like he did with his Kage Summit antics.

Nah if he was a girl, he would have been nerfed left and right. Their would have been no proper rivalry and the Sharingan abilities wouldn't be shown correctly since Sasuke is more or less the MC of the Uchiha. There can't be two girls on a squad at least not the teams I have seen within the series. It would be the worst thing that happened to the series. Kishi couldn't have handled it. This is the major reason why he used Sakura as a guinea pig to try developing females through her though Sakura didn't turn out well.
