???, when sasuke was about to fight itachi, they were looking for him, so they can bring him back home, all of konoah 11 & some of the sensei's went, none of the police force were coming to lock him up
but if it wasnt sooner than later it was only a question when because sasuke needed to know the truth about itachi so that he has his character development

But Danzo wouldn't be able to. He wouldn't have much of an argument against him, considering that Sasuke would have the esteem of taking down 3 criminals (Oro, Deidara, and Itachi). People would love for him to be back and all the K11 were sent by Tsunade just to bring him back. Also, Danzo/elders lost alot of influence after Hiruzen died, because Tsunade didn't regard them highly and mainly did things on her own and asked Shizune only when needed.
ot: He'd go back to Konoha. The only problem is whether or not Obito would go after him and attempt to persuade/manipulate him into going with him. He probably would, considering that he wanted to synch him w/ the Gedo Mazou, as well as take his eyes once he'd become more powerful. But then again, Zetsu/Obito were in a hurry and wanted to get there before the K11 did for a reason. If he went to Konoha to talk to Sasuke...
1. He'd never get the chance. Sasuke would be surrounded by people. Obito would probably be noticed, if he wouldn't then why did he never take Naruto when he had the chance?
2. Sasuke wouldn't believe him at that point. Sasuke nearly left when he was talking about Itachi, but he fainted and then Obito had to tie him up in order for him to listen.
3. Obito would eventually get tired of trying to convince Sasuke and move on. He was willing to threaten Sasuke and say that he'd kill him if he betrayed Akatsuki. He even gave him a choice of whether to join or not in the 1st place. Also, he was willing to give Sasuke to Kabuto. Hence, taking Sasuke was more a luxury, than a need. If it was too much hassle, he'd give up and move on.
So in all likelihood, Sasuke would return to Konoha and live a happy life with Team 7, whilst being satisfied with revenge. But then, the story wouldn't be so interesting.
