Uh Hagoromo gave Sasuke his power knowing full well Sasuke's intentions. He told Hagoromo what he wanted to do. And still got his power.

OT Uchiha's power get stronger the more feelings they have/get. The sharingan reflects it and make it stronger. Be it hatred or love.
